Kitten Wellness Care

Kitten Wellness Care at Fenton River Veterinary Hospital

Congratulations on your new kitten! We are here to provide your kitten with the proper medical care so that your kitten grows up healthy and strong. During your kitten’s first visit with us, we will perform a thorough examination, create a customized vaccination schedule, and administer any vaccines your kitten may need. We are also here to answer any of your questions regarding what to feed your kitten, talk about any behavioral issues you may be experiencing with your kitten, and talk about the best time to spay or neuter your kitten.

Kitten Vaccinations

Your new kitten will receive a series of vaccinations monthly until he or she is over 4 months old. Then, most cats require vaccines yearly. There are many diseases that are preventable through the judicious use of vaccines, so it is important to create an individualized protocol early in life to protect both your kitten and your family.

Microchipping

We recommend microchipping your new kitten so he or she can return home safely if they are lost or stolen. The unique identifier from your pet’s microchip will help bring them home safely, providing shelters and animal hospitals with your contact information to reunite you with your pet. Your Kitten’s First Visit

For your kitten’s first exam, we ask that you bring any health information provided to you by the seller or shelter. We also ask that you bring a fresh stool sample and bring your kitten in a secure carrier for the safety of your kitten.
