Mia is a 2022 graduate of E.O. Smith highschool and currently attends UCONNs Ratcliffe Hicks Animal Science program. In high school, She was the secretary and vice president of her local FFA chapter, simultaneous with her presidency of the Willington Willing workers 4-H club for two consecutive years. She shows poultry from a county to national level with the overall goal of claiming “Grand Champion American” at Ohio National. Mia lives on her family’s farm as she attends college where she raises chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys and a few small exotics. Mia is currently working on improving a rare line of Delaware chicken traits with the motivation to meet the American Poultry Associations Standard Of Perfection. In her free time you will often find her at a fair or poultry show, clicker training her chickens or studying any subject involving animal science.
